Zeta Games’ low-fi action game Blue Runner launched on mobile this week. In it you control a neon-infused cybernetic athlete dashing across futuristic cityscapes. Employing a minimalist visuals you are in short a glowing blue square, more specifically a square who is dodging hazardous lasers and collecting energy cells to sustain momentum. No doubt vying for the space inhabited by vaunted abstract actioners like VVVVVV, Blue Runner will offer up, we hope, a satisfying reflex-driven journey. Judging by the trailer, the title features procedurally generated tracks and some sick synthwave beats that change rhythm based on your in-game velocity. Check it out for yourself in the trailer below, and look for an upcoming HD review.
