Nox from Westwood Studios and EA is now included in the GOG Preservation Program

EA and Westwood Studios' action RPG Nox has been added to the GOG Preservation Program today.

GOG has updated Nox today with version 1.2 bringing in a custom widescreen resolution, verified Windows 10 and Windows 11 compatibility, and much more. 1.2 gog v2 changelog (10 September 2026):

• Removed the outdated compatibility shim entirely, eliminating a source of future conflicts.
• Added the GOG DXWrapper, so the game runs properly on modern machines again.
• Added a custom widescreen resolution, selectable directly from the game's options menu.
• Restored online multiplayer through Westwood Online service dependencies, correct registry entries, and XWIS.net servers.
• Archived the original installer sequence as a downloadable video recording, available in the Goodies section.
• Validated stability.
• Verified compatibility with Windows 10 and 11.
