This week, publisher BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment dropped their first paid DLC “Mask of Idris” for their action role-playing game title ‘CODE VEIN II’ across PC and consoles. Additionally, a free Version 2.0 update has also made its way to the game.

Said update includes “The Age of Harmony”. which expands the post-clear world with new episodes for each partner. Players can also take on “Trials of Remembrance”—a series of consecutive boss battles that reward items exchangeable for more than 90 new character customization parts. J

Jadwiga, previously selectable only in a possessed state, can also now be summoned as a new partner, wielding a two-handed sword in one hand while using Formae to deliver a fast-paced fighting style. Also included in the free update is a new story-focused mode that boosts player stats to ease progression through exploration and boss encounters, as well as a Legacy character shader that gives characters an anime-like appearance reminiscent of the original ‘CODE VEIN’ from many moons ago. No reference intended from our end.

CODE VEIN II is available now across PC via Steam, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5 consoles.
